Hilton worldwide has just announced the signing of a management agreement for Hilton Garden Inn Cairo East. In line with the brand’s quest to provide ‘better and brighter’ stays, the new property will offer an upscale yet affordable hotel experience.
Here, the hotel’s 250 guest rooms will be joined by a full-service restaurant, two bars, an outdoor pool and a fitness centre, as well as 300 sq m of meeting space.
“With major development projects currently underway in the eastern part of Cairo, we are pleased to have signed an agreement to expand our portfolio in this part of the Egyptian capital,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development in the Middle East and Africa for Hilton. “Bringing our second Hilton Garden Inn hotel to Cairo and our third to date in Egypt reflects the vast potential of the hospitality sector in Egypt for Hilton’s focused-service brands.”
The new property will be part of Leopard Construction’s mixed-use East Cairo development, which also houses recreational and cultural zones, as well as residential, educational, administrative and medical areas. It’ll be located on Ismailia desert road, giving it access to a revamped road network connecting the new developments within East Cairo, as well as the likes of Cairo International Airport, Obour City, Shorouk City and the New Administrative Capital.
Eng Mahmoud Zaied, CEO of Leopard Construction, said: “We are proud to be partnering with Hilton to operate our first hotel in the market, which ensures world-class hospitality standards and services for its guests. Our development East Cairo enjoys a prime location and we are delighted to be housing a world-class brand such as Hilton Garden Inn alongside residential, retail units and other recreational facilities that will appeal to hotel guests.”
This new management agreement means Hilton now has nine hotels in the pipeline across Egypt. Over the coming years, they’ll join the 14 hotels already operating under the Hilton Hotels&Resorts and Conrad Hotels&Resorts brands within the country.
