IHG’s Crowne Plaza Hotel Officially Signed A Contract To Settle In The Historic City Of India

According to the Middle East Hospitality News, on May 13, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) formally signed a hotel management agreement in Lucknow, India, which is scheduled to open in 2024. It plans to use the foundation of the future domestic tourism market to promote the growth of the Group's business in India.


The contracted hotel has 110 rooms, and also has a full-day restaurant, bar, club lounge, gym, outdoor swimming pool and a 19,000 square foot banquet hall. It is only 11 kilometers from the city center and about 15 kilometers from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.


Pascal Gauvin, General Manager of IHG Middle East and Africa, said: "We are very optimistic about the future development of the Group, and Lucknow, as a well-known historical city in India, is relying on its excellent transportation hub, expanding business and tourism scale, It has gradually become one of the important destinations for business travel and leisure travel. Crowne Plaza is our most developed brand in India, which is very suitable for the local market. "


He also added: "In India, the tourism industry is mainly driven by domestic travel demand. Once the crisis passes, the domestic tourism industry is expected to recover first and people can travel safely again. Therefore, domestic tourism is still the key to our business growth in India. Driving force, we will continue to expand our business in the Indian market.


Prior to this, InterContinental Hotels Group has opened 36 hotels in India, and 45 are in preparation. The signed hotel management cooperation will further expand the development map of its Asian region.
