Humidity is one of the most destructive things about the hospitable FF&E.


In higher climates, moisture in the air can cause high-quality materials (such as wood) to swell, causing cracking and splitting. As a result, the moisture accumulated on the surface of the housing leaves oxidation spots.


In low-humidity climates, certain materials may lose moisture and shrink, causing cracks and splits.
