Hilton Timeshare Acquires Diamond Resorts, Las Vegas Timeshare Rental Company

Global Travel News learned that Hilton Grand Vacations will acquire Diamond Resorts, a Las Vegas timeshare rental company in the United States. The transaction valued Diamond Resorts at approximately US$1.4 billion. After the transaction is completed, shareholders of Hilton Timeshare Club will hold approximately 72% of the combined company, while Diamond Resorts' original shareholder Apollo Global will hold approximately 28% of the combined company. Hilton Timeshare Club was originally a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide (Hilton Worldwide), but was later spun off and listed separately.
